Today In Issues To Be Ignored

You may not know this, but our media often reports on important issues that affect our lives.
However, the reporters on the presidential campaign beat and the punditocracy then choose to assume voters care more about guilt-by-association charges, silly surrogate remarks and choice in accessories -- and leave the substantive reporting from their colleagues to fade into the ether and out of the national conversation.
What do the pundits think you don't care about today?
Health Beat: More people are losing health insurance, without losing their jobs.
NY Times: "The United States has less than 5 percent of the world’s population. But it has almost a quarter of the world’s prisoners."
Tapped: Bill to negate conservative activist Supreme Court ruling, denying many people the ability to go to court and contest wage discrimination, expected to be vetoed by President Bush.
TPMMuckraker: "Half of EPA Scientists Complain of Political Interference"
Lots going on in the world. Maybe some of those millionaire pundits who claim to know what affects "real Americans" will talk about it.
